Terms for using the Caratell mobile apps

Caratell helps you record jewellery purchases, keep detailed records, and facilitate ownership transfers. These Terms govern your use of Caratell on iOS and Android.

Privacy

By downloading, accessing, or using Caratell, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the apps.

1. About Caratell

What the service does

Caratell provides mobile applications for users to record, track, and manage jewellery purchase information and to record transfers of ownership between users. Caratell is a record-keeping and facilitation tool. It does not by itself create, register, or guarantee legal title or transfer under applicable law unless the parties complete any required legal processes outside the app.

2. Eligibility

Who can use Caratell

You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) and have authority to create and transfer ownership records for jewellery you register. You represent that jewellery and ownership information you add is accurate and that you have the legal right to register or transfer it.

3. Accounts and Security

Protect your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not responsible for losses from compromised credentials if you do not promptly notify us.

4. Recording and Transferring Ownership

How transfers work in-app

When you use Caratell to record a transfer, you represent that you have legal authority to transfer ownership and that the transferee has consented. Caratell may provide tools to evidence a transfer (timestamps, logs, confirmations). The legal effect of such records depends on local law and any additional documentation required. It is the parties’ responsibility to complete external steps (written contracts, notarial acts, registration) needed to effect a legal transfer.

5. Verification, Valuation, and Authenticity

We don’t appraise or authenticate

Caratell does not validate authenticity, purity, or monetary value of jewellery. Descriptions, photos, and valuations are provided by users. Obtain professional appraisal, authentication, or legal advice where needed.

6. Fees, Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

Apple App Store & Google Play

Some Caratell features may be free; others may require a one-time purchase or subscription billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play.

  • Prices, billing cycles, free trials, and renewals are shown in the store listing and at purchase time.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings before the renewal date.
  • Refunds are handled under Apple’s or Google’s refund policies. Contact the respective store for billing issues first.
  • Failure to pay or loss of entitlement may result in loss of paid features.

7. License to Use the Apps

Personal, non-exclusive use

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use Caratell on devices you own or control, in accordance with App Store and Google Play rules. You may not reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the apps or our infrastructure, except where local law prohibits such restrictions.

8. Prohibited Conduct

What you must not do

Do not use Caratell to facilitate theft, fraud, money laundering, or any unlawful activity. Do not post false or misleading information, impersonate others, interfere with the service, or upload content that violates others’ rights.

9. Intellectual Property

Who owns what

Caratell and its content are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary content except as expressly permitted. You retain ownership of content you upload, but you grant Caratell a worldwide license to store, display, and process that content as needed to provide the service.

10. Privacy

How we handle your data

Your use of Caratell is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and share information, and how to request account deletion.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

No warranties

Caratell is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Caratell and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the service.

12. Indemnification

Your responsibility for claims

You agree to indemnify and hold Caratell harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the service.

13. Termination & Account Deletion

Stopping the service

We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms or as otherwise permitted by law. You may stop using Caratell at any time and request account deletion via the app or by emailing sikander708@gmail.com. Upon termination, some data may be retained for legal or operational reasons. Export any records you need before deletion. Cancel active subscriptions in the App Store or Google Play separately.

14. Changes to These Terms

How updates are handled

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will update the date at the top and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or by email where appropriate. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator’s primary place of business, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence provides otherwise. Parties should attempt informal resolution via sikander708@gmail.com before formal legal action.
